Corn

​Corn is a garden favorite. Sugar Buns is the sweet corn variety of choice and Robust is an option for popcorn. There can be at three plantings of sweet corn during the season. Corn has a minimum requirement of 16 plants per planting due to pollination. If you have the space for corn, you will not be disappointed.
 
Spacing & Yield
On 30” or 4’ beds, 2 rows of Corn is planted, with plants 6” apart; expect yields of 1 ear per plant or 4 ears per bed foot.

Planting Notes: Three plantings per season. Planted in May and June for harvests in July and August

 
“Remains tender for up to two weeks in the field for the longest harvest period of all early corn varieties. The 7", 14-row ears have relatively narrow, deep kernels, making a nice package. 5-6' sturdy plants.”​
