Carrots
There is nothing more surprising than the superior flavor of a fresh garden picked carrot versus a store bought carrot. If you pick Yaya, Hercules and one colored variety you will have near continuous harvest of carrots from June to October. Carrots store well (in your fridge at the very least) so these plantings are designed for a once a month harvest, so choose your quantity accordingly!

On 4’ beds, 3 rows of Carrots can be planted; expect yields of 4½# per bed foot.

Season Extension
